Recommend a car ...

I have a Fiat Panda 4x4.
I love it. Small, easy to park, incredibly cheap to run.
BUT... I now have a 26 kg dog, a toddler, and a stroller to fit in it...and they don't. Plus DD2 is working on having no 2 so I'll be Granny care for two children hopefully!

My Dh has a mercedes vito van, and I HATE driving it ( 4 pedals.. wtf?!)

I'd would prefer 4x4 as we are rural, my budget is limited to older cars (probably pre- 2016)
I am wondering about a Freelander, or a Dacia Duster? Or are there others I should look at? Honda? Toyota?

Any recommendations /experience gratefully received!

What exactly is your budget OP? ‘Older cars’ is a bit broad!

About 8k would be realistic!

My in-laws just bought a Hyundai i10 for about £7k. Approved used from local dealer. I don't know if that helps.

Edit: the fourth pedal on the Vito is for the windscreen washer switch.

We’ve had 2 Freelanders, they were ok, but bought from new ( they don’t make them anymore, but they hold their 2nd hand price).
The few niggling problems such as the catalytic converter heat shield ( on both ) were put right by the warranty.
If you buy one really do a thorough check on services and any recalls.
