Where the hell are "Dobbies Garden Centres" and why is their massive advert popping up every time I log on to MN when I have zero interest in gardening????

OP posts:

When the adverts pop up all I can vision is Mark Corrigan being rubbed up against in the stationery cupboard.

cindarellashoes · 30/05/2024 19:55

@TheThingIsYeah me too

@GentlemanJohnny we have loads near us (Glasgow)

LadyAddle · 30/05/2024 19:57

They're all over the place.

You're missing out! Love a free (ish) coffee at Dobbies..

ErrolTheDragon · 30/05/2024 20:00

Pretty sure Dobbies are a national chain, as well as selling) on the internet. We've got one near Preston and I've seen 'Little Dobbies' in Bristol.

More wholesome than some of the things that get advertised on occasion

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 30/05/2024 20:01

We have one in West Norfolk..

ErrolTheDragon · 30/05/2024 20:01

Anyway, commiserations to the OP on missing out on the joys of gardening.

weebarra · 30/05/2024 20:03

They're originally Scottish (their flagship store) is near me, but were taken over by Tesco a few years back and have expanded. DD loves their mac and cheese!

TroysMammy · 30/05/2024 20:04

There is one in Swansea. £12 a year for their garden club, you get discounts and 2 hot drinks a month and extra 2 drinks and 2 slices of cake in your birthday month. You don't have to like gardening for "free" tea and cake.

FastasF · 30/05/2024 20:11

They are ridiculously expensive so that pays for the “free” cake and drink.
Far more variety and better quality plants at my local plant nursery, selling at average of £7.90 instead of Dobbies £12.99.
