Hair misery - won't stay straight!

I have really terrible hair - it's difficult to describe. It's incredibly thick, but it isn't straight and it isn't wavy, it's sort of ..
triangular and frizzy. I have tried everything to get it to look reasonable, including the Revlon One which did nothing for me at all.

I usually wear it in a ponytail which makes me feel sort of childish, and even then I have to straighten it first to stop it being so bushy and rough. When I straighten it with my GHDs, I can make it straight, but within 30 minutes it's frizzing again! I've tried different humidity serums, oils and sprays ... please can anyone recommend something miraculous? I just want grown-up hair!

Even though you say it’s not wavy it sounds to me like it must be dry if it frizzes again so quickly. I recommend stop colouring if you are doing, and use the curly girl method.

Have you tried color wow dream coat spray?

You have wavy hair. Honestly! Look into the curly girl method, buy a really moisturing conditioner/mask like the Garnier tubs.

I always bang on about this but my heatless curl band seems to take the frizz out of my hair and leave it curly / wavy for a few days. Just be sure to get a soft one not the hard tube type.
