Cadbury chocolate is just delicious

Just had my first bar of Cadbury dairy milk in a while and omg it’s so deliciously smooth and creamy, it just melts in your mouth!

There is literally no other chocolate brand that comes close to Cadbury! No real point to this post but it was just so delicious!

I'm old enough to remember how delicious it used to taste, before they fucked about with it.

So YABU.

I mean, not to be pedantic but I didn’t actually post this in the AIBU section… 😁

I can remember when it used to be made in my home town and if the wind was blowing from the north you could stand outside and smell chocolate on the air.

Urg no @beeonmybonnett it's fake and grim. All the palm oil 🤮

Catlicker · 29/05/2024 23:06

Tastes like plastic

CadyEastman · 29/05/2024 23:08

I'm glad you enjoyed it OP but I can't bloody stand the stuff.

Borris · 29/05/2024 23:16

I agree. I excitedly tried a Hersheys kiss the other day. It was vileEnvy

purpleme12 · 29/05/2024 23:19

It is the best chocolate

Yes it must not be exactly how it used to be. But it's still the best out there

For me

Mavan1984 · 29/05/2024 23:19

I must admit I do enjoy Cadburys chocolates, especially Dairy Milk and Twirl. For those of you who are not keen, can you recommend any other good chocolates?

Foxybyname · 29/05/2024 23:20

Agree. Must be room temperature imo.

Prefer galaxy though. Although I often forget this and buy Cadbury out of habit!

longdistanceclaraclara · 29/05/2024 23:20

It's used to be, palm oil fucked it. Hersheys is well known to taste like vomit to a lot of people, something to do with one of the American additives in it.

Caramilk buttons - my secret pleasure 😎

suckedinbyinstagram · 29/05/2024 23:23

Did you know it doesn't actually say chocolate on the bar as it's not allowed to as there is so much milk and sugar in there? It's less than 30% chocolate?!

Abitorangelooking · 29/05/2024 23:26

Used to be nice, now it’s got a weird texture. I buy the dc little bars of moser Roth from Aldi. I now have a 9yo who will politely decline anything under 60-70% cocoa as too sweet.

BeachHutsAndDeckchairs · 29/05/2024 23:26

I like dairy milks too and an half way through a bar of dairy milk & more with hazelnut in and it's lovely.

I can remember when it used to be made in my home town and if the wind was blowing from the north you could stand outside and smell chocolate on the air.

In my 2nd and 3rd years at uni I used to get the train from Bourneville station.
And then after that I worked in York, quite often used to drive past the Rowntrees factory.

Happy days.Smile

I'm an 85-100% cocoa aficionado nowadays so my recommendations probably wouldn't be to the OPs taste.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/05/2024 23:26

Agreed. Best chocolate!

ImOddsAndEnds · 29/05/2024 23:27

Dairy Milk Easter eggs all the way.

Otherwise it has to be Lindt!

MrsSkylerWhite · 29/05/2024 23:27

It’s awful!

Tastes so artificial.

clockdoc · 29/05/2024 23:29

It doesn't taste like chocolate anymore, it just tastes sweet Envy < not envy

Xmasbaby11 · 29/05/2024 23:31

I love it too! I don't like Lindt and Galaxy is too creamy. Cadburys is the best, but I like other brands of milk chocolate - I think M and S Belgian chocolate is lovely.
