Can stress have affected my baby? I feel so guilty

For various reasons I have been probably the most stressed I have ever been in my life for most of this pregnancy. Despite this I have still been eating 3 meals a day, sleeping and exercising enough. Baby has been fine at every scan but it’s my 20 week scan very soon and I am stressing that stressing (!) could’ve affected them, as in, caused any developmental issues or worse caused a missed miscarriage in the second trimester.
I don’t even know if the latter is possible just from stress alone. I have an anterior placenta so I haven’t felt baby move yet either, adding to my worry they might not be fine.

Was anyone else ridiculously stressed in pregnancy and it turned out fine?

Yes, extremely stressed. Baby fine. Think of all the women in war zones, abusive relationships etc the vast majority of babies are fine. Yours will be too I’m sure!

I was suicidal and in lockdown. The emotional turmoil was horrendous. DD now 4 and perfectly fine, if a little feral..

Try not to worry. Which doesn't help I know but if I can get through it anyone can

Oh yes I sympathise with this.
I was horrendously stressed throughout my pregnancy with my son and felt tremendous guilt because of the stress, as well as because of the causes of the stress.
I couldn't control the stress but I did put a lot of effort into eating the healthiest diet possible. The result being he had a big birth weight. He was physically a very healthy baby but very clingy - in retrospect probably normal but I attributed it to my stressful pregnancy.
Any way he is now a very normal adult and I don't think the stressful pregnancy affected him.
I'm sure if you do what you are doing in eating healthy and other things you can control everything will be fine. Stress is an horrendous thing to deal with but I'm sure everything will be fine.
