Just a heads up for those who buy and sell on Vinted using Royal Mail for definite, possibly other couriers I don't know.
Four people have purchase bundles from me this last week with between two to four items in them. There is a point to me mentioning this so bare with me. I'm trying to explain it clearly.
A buyer asked me tonight why I was charging 8 pounds postage for three items to be sent by royal mail. I said I wasn't and it was vinted who set the postage cost (I use rm because they offer collection wheh I can't get out as I'm a carer and i use a fully tracked method from purchase of postage to delivery to buyer). She agreed but said it was too much so I compromised and lowered my items bundle price so it was a more reasonable cost for her as she was nice and friendly and tbf it was only 1.50.
When she checked out I went to buy the postage and realised I have only received the standard rm 2nd class postage amount of 3.69 to my pending balance despite it being a bundle and despite her being charged almost 8 pounds. (this is not the buyer fee before it's suggested, that is only approx 1.20 max for this order.)
I checked back over the other three bundles to find out that I have also only received the 3.69 postage for each and messaged the buyers of the other three to get them to check what they had been charged . 2 have replied tonight and told me they were also charged nearly 8 pounds so have been overcharged by almost 4 pounds per order. (or you could argue I've been cheated out of the extra postage that I've spent, especially for the larger bundle of 4 items)
A friend has checked her account and this has also happened to her with both rm and she believes with inpost too.
Go back and check your invoices and what you received as it could be a site wide issue and you could be overcharged/cheated out of extra postage you've paid too.
My friend and I and 3 of the buyer have reported it to vinted and are waiting for their replies.
