Can anyone recommend a classic or modern classic audiobook on Audible please?

I struggle with Audiobooks but I received an offer for a 3 month Audible subscription so I thought that I’d give it a try.

I can’t decide what to choose but I think a classic or modern classic would suit me best so any recommendations would be much appreciated.

TIA

The Making of a Marchioness by Frances Hodgson Burnett is excellent

Any of the Austens read by Juliet Stevenson - I think she has done S&S, Emma and Persuasion or her Jane Eyre is also great

Philipe Duquenoy’s Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, Count of Monte Cristo, Bleak House, David Copperfield, Ulysses

Seamus Heaney reading Beowulf

Claire Danes reading The Handmaid’s Tale

Sissy Spacek reading To Kill A Mockingbird

Tim Robbins reading Fahrenheit 451

Make sure you listen to the samples before you commit to any - I find voices to be very personal and what is good for one person is aggravating for another
