Wedding content creator?

What exactly do they do and why people would consider using one?

My shop account follows a person who seems to have a very ordinary feed, not an 'influencer' or otherwise famous. She just announced she's booked one? Do they do the photography or that would be a separate service?

is that new word for a director?

My understanding is that they literally just make the content for socials, so photos and captions for Instagram, and videos for tiktok, a photographer is a separate thing.

I suppose influencers would use the service so they don't have to make content themselves for the day, or people who want to become influencers maybe.

I can't get my head around it...

If they are posting on the actual day -the content creator will be using their own photos, they will not be signed off by the bride/ groom (as they'd be otherwise occupied), and most of their friends would be presumably at the actual wedding... Surely it's more fun to wait for the professional photos and post as and when you feel like sharing...

As I said this person has a very ordinary mum account. Less than 5k followers. And engagement on socials is already pretty bad at the moment. I can't see her monetising this.
