Do your kids just ask to play computer games when their friends come over? DS is 7 and I used to always say no to screens and games but not sure whether am too old school. Any tips?

I tend to say at the start of the play date that they can have an hour’s screentime (TV or computer games) and can choose when they have it. Gives them some control but also sets a boundary. Before doing this I check that the parent of the other child is ok with that and make clear that any games they play on the console will be age appropriate and not online.

My children are primary school age.
