Do ticketmaster usually release more tickets closer to (non music) event dates

I want to buy tickets to Monster Jam but they only have either really expensive seats left (£73 each!) or seats with a poor view, i.e. 20 rows back in the upper stand, or at the corner etc (£50 each!).

In the past I’ve been able to get decent seats to Disney on Ice (same company) within a couple of weeks of the show, as though they release more seats closer to the time.

Does anyone know if this is the same for Monster Jam? I’ve never been before and I’m reluctant to pay £180 for four of us to sit so high up that the trucks will look like toy trucks if more tickets will be released - the event is in July. It looks like some stands are completely sold out and I’ve no idea if it’s popular enough that this will actually be the case, or whether it’s because they hold seats back.
