Do we need planning permission?

We would like to make access to our drive easier, it's a L shape, but to get second car out it is a nightmare if the first car is still there.
We would like to knock some of the wall down, to gain more access, but still going via the dropped kerb, is this something we need planning permission for? Thank you

I assume it's your wall so you can do what you want with it. I personally wouldn't because I wouldn't want people using my property as a shortcut/desire line.

That was my question. Is it your wall?

And thanks for the diagramme 😀

We extended our driveway widthways,to put a second car in. The original drive was concrete. We went for square "cobbles". We did have to obtain PP, which meant having to pay an architect to draw the plans. We are under east Sussex CC.
