If you have covid right now, what are your symptoms?

I think my teenager has covid. Just wondering what the current symptoms are? Is testing still a thing? Thanks

I had a really bad headache, sinusitis, sneezy, sore throat, fatigue, felt like death, no appetite.

Husband has it too.

Hoping immunosuppressed teen in the middle of GCSEs doesn't get it, we had to cancel his vaccination appointment today as no one was well enough to drive him there.

Started with a fuzzy nose Friday which has always been my first symptom whenever I’ve had it. Then temperature, fatigue, hacking cough and loss of taste and smell.

I ordered some tests and the line came up quicker than it ever has before. One DC also has it. DH has been warned not to succumb as we can’t both be ill. I’m off this week anyway so plenty of time to recover but a pretty boring week for the kids as can’t go anywhere.

Hi @Gunnersforthecup thanks for replying. Seems to be the same kind of symptoms, the worst being a high fever that sits at 39 the minute the paracetamol wears off. He was at a big event last Friday with lots of other kids and many schools attending, first instance of fever on Sunday eve. I strongly suspect covid but no way if testing. I guess it doesn’t make much if a difference anyway. Hope you’re all better soon and good luck with the exams! X

It's the headache for me, absolutely awful

Gunnersforthecup · 31/05/2024 13:46

Have you got any tablets in with paracetamol or for colds and flu, lemsip etc? They helped for me x

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 31/05/2024 13:49

I had it a couple of months ago - the second time as we are careful - the first time, late into the peak of Covid, symptoms like a mild cold. This recent time - like severe flu lasting 2 days and quickly recovered

I have all of the jabs

Sorry to hear the teen has possible Covid, it's a horrible condition!

I've got it at the moment - blood pressure and temperature are through the roof, dizziness, light-headedness, splitting headaches, wobbly, sluggish, feeling of something very heavy sat on my chest, coughing fits, breathing problems, fatigue, sore throat, the runs, fever/chills, nasty aches and pains, can't smell or taste, feelings of being kicked in the guts and thinking I'm about to puke, sneezing fits, sinuses.
