That’s pretty unusual nowadays I think (for people in the UK). Not been to a wedding is odd unless you are v early 20s maybe.

I’d only been to one family wedding by the age of 25 - then from 25-35 I probably went to about forty weddings.

I think it’s the lack of curiosity in some cases. I can totally understand doing something once and deciding it’s not for you, or not getting a chance to do something because of circumstances.
But to choose to rule out trying something that’s non-risky and fairly straightforward just seems odd and a bit sad.
