Morning all! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot. No-one else is up yet (and probably won't be for a while) so I'm enjoying the peace.

I've got the washer going already swear they've been next door for their washing, tidied round and listed a couple of things on Vinted.

I'm going to stick the sparkles on the third t-shirt for our Eras night today, and hopefully get time to make some bracelets. I need to order a bottle with a thin nozzle to finish the t-shirts too.

Dd2's plan, last night, was finish the last questions of her maths homework, design her sunglasses so I can stick gems/beads, and then sit with me for a while & make bracelets.

I have no idea what dd1 will do - probably watch more Suits & not make bracelets 🤷‍♀️

We're having chicken & leek in a creamy sauce, with tagliatelle, for tea. Followed by showers & maybe a bit more crafting in front of the tv for me. I'm half way through making some charms but not actually sure I'll finish them in just over 2 weeks.

What ahout you lot? 🙂

Hi everyone, a late post again from me today.

Me, dh and dd9 were all up and about by 8am today and dd19 was at work for 6.30am. I took dd9 to the trampoline park this morning with my sister and niece then back home for lunch.

I’ve done some cleaning (finally!), dd16 has just got back from the gym, dd19 is now back from work and dd9 is playing in the kitchen with her friend. I don’t actually think dh has moved from the sofa all day - two nights out in a row have obviously caught up with him!

I still need to do a bit of hoovering and mop the floors downstairs then I’ll make curry for tea - I’m considering nipping to the shop for some wine to have with it.

It’s half term here this week and only dh has to get up early for work in the morning - dd19 has the day off tomorrow and I’m working from home so can have a bit of a lie in so we’ll probably stay up a bit later and either watch Bridgerton or a film.

I do also want to iron dd9’s school uniform then it’s done and in her wardrobe and I don’t need to think about it for almost 2 weeks but I’m not sure if I can be bothered and might leave that til tomorrow.

I'm about to go swimming with sharks! I'm on holiday and there's a specific area where small sharks swim to avoid being eaten by bigger sharks. I've never seen one in the flesh and I cannot wait. 😄

Good afternoon Lucysmam and others. I had a long lie today as dd has the bank holiday, although it isn't one in our area. She nipped in with dgs2 on his way to play group while I was in the shower so I had to quickly get dressed. As I suspected, dgs2 wanted me to go with them up play group. After that, I stood and chatted with my neighbour who is so lovely. I spoke to another neighbour too. Then emptied the tumble dryer - I don't like crispy towels -and the dishwasher and loaded it again. This afternoon I sat in while dgs2 napped and dd and Dsil went to dgs1's school which he starts in August. Home now with dds towels -she doesn't like crispy towels either. They're in the tumble dryer and I'll get them to her tomorrow morning when I pick up both boys. Mince round, mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner tonight. Enjoy your day

Was very confused for a while reading this thread. Am not in the UK so didn't know it was a bank holiday. Was thinking that hardly anybody on MN must work anymore 😂FWIW I'm currently at work, but not particularly busy and the sun is shining in.

Currently chilling on the sofa with a cuppa and a mad sausage dog that's trying to catch flies.
Dh has gone to get dd and her friend from Rangers camp. They've been there since Fri- we've had torrential rain, hail, thunder and lightning. Sounds like she's had little sleep and has a tonne of washing.
I got up at 340am to bike to work at 5 for 6am. Absolute bonus I got out early at 1130 so me and dh took the doggo for a walk.
Dd is 17 and an apprentice mechanic now but I do remember the great feeling of putting washed and ironed uniform back in the wardrobe on the first day of school holidays😁

It's raining which is actually refreshing, the weekend was hot here (abroad)

Bit late to the party.

Was up late today, pottered about for a bit, swimming lesson for little one, then quick run around the park before it pi55ed down on us.

Home for (late) lunch and currently have my SIL, BIL and 3 children visiting as they were local today. Thankfully they've refused my offer of dinner as they are meeting friends this evening.

We're going to have chilli, rice, salad and coleslaw for dinner, then probably a film.

Devil incarnate, naps, hell no, why nap when you can refuse and then scream your head off every night because you’re over tired.

Oh dear, dd2 was like that 🙄

I look after my friend's son (almost 2) on Mondays so I had him today from just before 8am until an hour ago.

I'm now sitting watching Taskmaster (only started watching it a few months ago and I'm on S9 now) and debating going to the off licence around the corner for a bottle of wine.

I also got my bedding washed and out on the line this morning as it's a gorgeous day here, so I can't wait to remake my bed and snuggle into it when DH gets home from work (he finishes around 11.30pm today).

We have just booked a holiday to Portugal on 30 June so only 4 and a bit weeks! Very excited
