Help me choose a coat! I’m torn between the two

Both Seraphine, baby wearing but I intend on wearing after baby is bigger too. The sale seems too good to miss! Baby due in autumn. Also borrowing my sister’s coat from here which is a black parka but think it may be a size too small depending on how much weight I gain in later pregnancy.

I love the blue (second one) but don’t know if the light colour is impractical!

I prefer the blue!

The reversible one - two coats for the price of one?
And longer for cold, wet days when you still need to get out for some fresh air and sanity!
But both are nice.

The ice blue one looks enormous! Which is stupid because of course you're bigger if you're pregnant or carrying a baby. But it just looks so much more bulky somehow. The other one has more shape. I think it's really nice.

Davros · 27/05/2024 09:37

I like the first checked one

KiwiLondoner · 27/05/2024 09:41

The first one is stylish - love it

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 27/05/2024 10:21

First one!

Fifthtimelucky · 27/05/2024 11:56

First one looks much better, and will be much more practical over the winter.

Deedeeee · 27/05/2024 12:54

Get yhe one you like op, ie the second one. I overthought things like this, but ultimately when the baby is here, style is often the last thing on your mind. Colour isn’t impractical coz baby sick is white… sorry, but that was also something I hadnt appreciated pre-baby…

Colinthedog · 27/05/2024 12:58

Really like the first one, very stylish. Don’t like the blue one at all and it seems a lot less practical.

gardenmusic · 27/05/2024 14:43

for the autumn/winter, I think the paler one would get dirty?

Shodan · 27/05/2024 15:11

I think the blue is a prettier colour but...

The second one is far more practical, looks good AND it's reversible, so 2 coats for the price of 1, as a PP mentions.

(Also, if you're anything like me, you'll sit in bird poo/on a lidless Sharpie/in a puddle of coffee within half an hour of wearing the blue one and it'll be ruined forever.)

FayCarew · 27/05/2024 15:26

The reversible one

avocadotofu · 27/05/2024 15:36

I think the first one.

ScaleInsectGoo · 27/05/2024 15:39

I'm not keen on either but the first is much more practical. Babies make stuff grubby, sharing a pale blue coat with your baby is not a good idea. I had a navy coat when I was baby wearing.

rongy · 27/05/2024 15:52

These go very cheaply on Vinted. I sold my seraphine coat for about £8 and I think it was £150 originally

goneaway2 · 27/05/2024 19:34

First one is nicest, the pattern is lovely. Ice blue won't work so well with baby puke on it.
