Difficult toddler

I hate saying this. I’m wracked at guilt at the end of another day because I feel like I’ve just had to tell our 2.5yo off most of the day! Don’t hit your sister don’t hit the dog don’t pull mummy’s hair out (it’s falling out a bit post partum hair loss lol , but he’s pulling it and laughing when he has hold of a clump!)

he is slightly behind on speech and can’t express himself well. Plenty of melt downs I don’t know the meltdown vs tantrum difference but probably. A mixture of both! Every task seems hard work even when we prepare and tell him everything!

are some just more ‘difficult ’ than others??? Hate saying that word I’m just so drained each day

Sounds pretty average.

Any tips? I want to help as I know this is a very developmental age / shaping age

I do tend to ignore tantrums to an extent. Don’t ignore him but if he’s kicking off because I’ve said no to biscuits after tea then I ignore for a second come back and comfort

when he whines I say, “sorry I can’t understand you when you make that noise ! Can you use your words please?”
