Ideas for bridal shower prizes

My niece and I work together in a small company, she cant invite all our work colleagues to the wedding so Im doing a little surprise beidal shower for her. No gifts for the bride, just a chance to get together before she leaves our city. I wanted to do a few bridal shower games but Im completely stuck on prizes that are under £10. What would you like to win?

Some ideas

A jade face roller
Handmade organic soaps
Chocolates
Or are these too boring!

The best prize I could think of is not being invited to a bridal shower, ever 🙊

Seriously though what grown women want to play games, nothing is worse than forced fun. I’d rather have that tenner spent on a cocktail in a nice bar, and whoever wants to continue the night, can do after.

Is this a thing now?
Is she having a hen do?
I’m with the first poster. It doesn’t sound like anything I’d want to attend.
As for prizes the only thing I’d appreciate from your list is the handmade soap.

If there were an event with games, I would run very quickly in the opposite direction.
Why can't the colleagues just go out with the bride for a glass of wine one evening after work? Why does it need to be made trashy, which would probably result in people making their excuses?

I agree with the previous posters. There's nothing more miserable than 'enforced fun'.

Does she want games? I did have a bridal shower, as it’s a thing in my culture, but it was literally like a BBQ with close friends and family (who also wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding). There definitely weren’t any games.

That said, a choice of things like you’ve suggested sounds fine. I wouldn’t have any use for a face roller (wth is that?!), but things like nice soaps, chocolates, Prosecco if people drink, etc sound fine.

I'd go with afterwork drinks in a bar close to your workplace - spend the money on platters of bar food. People can stay for just one if they don't want to make a night of it. No one really wants to play party games with colleagues.

What sort of games do you play at a Bridal shower?
And when did we adopt the American idea of a shower instead of a Hen night? I just took my bridesmaids and a few friends out for pizzas and a few drinks.

Sounds horrendous

Good ideas so far - face masks, nail file set, lip balms. Fruit teas, candle .

I agree! Keep it simple, OP, useful yet small items would be perfect. Think bath bombs, small bottles of lotions, chocolates, stuff like that.
You can also make a bridal shower slideshow as a part of the entertainment, just in case people wouldn't be excited about games and you'd have to find something else instead.
