Possibly showing my age but it's Nigella Lawson Rapid Roastini. Here's some instructions for anyone interested. It's the only way I eat gnocchi.

Always use airfryer for gnocchi now, it's fab

Do you add oil or just straight in the air fryer from the packet?

therealcookiemonster · 26/05/2024 20:31

yep I always sauté mine with butter.

I assume home made fry well too.

I think you'd have to really make sure you squeeze moisture out of the potatoes

Yes - I stir through red pesto and rocket and grate some Parmesan over. Delish.

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 26/05/2024 20:35

Oh wow. Thank you for this.

AllTipAndNoIceberg · 26/05/2024 20:35

That sounds amazing @pastabest

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 26/05/2024 20:35

One of my favourite dinners. Slice up smoked streaky bacon red onion and garlic add it to the pan with a small amount of olive oil and let it all cook off and crisp up. When almost done throw in some frozen peas or tenderstem broccoli or asparagus chopped up and cook for a couple more minutes.

delicious salty bacony and yum!

mathanxiety · 26/05/2024 20:42

Yes, with lots of garlic. I throw in some parmesan to crisp into little fried cheese bits too, when the gnocchi sre almost ready to take off the pan. Delicious.

Rockfordpeach · 26/05/2024 20:43

I air fried gnocchi on the back of this thread. It was more like a snack that you’d need a dip with. Won’t be doing it that way as a meal again.

Hotttchoc · 31/05/2024 07:19

Yes!

MrsMitford3 · 31/05/2024 08:47

This thread making me so hungry.

Def doing the air fryer method-looks amazing!!

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 31/05/2024 08:50

Yesterday I air fried gnocchi, peppers, garlic & onions in pesto & a bit of olive oil. Absolutely gorgeous.

bigchanges1 · 31/05/2024 09:13

I have cupboard packet gnocchi, not fresh. Would this have to be boiled first do you think?

No just air fry or pan fry from the packet.

There are recipes online, we like it air fried without a sauce but with a tiny bit of oil and seasoning and then use it like roast potatoes as a side, they go crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.
