Urgent. Blocked on hotmail.

Hi, I accidentally typed in wrong password on Hotmail twice and been blocked. Urgently need to send an email. Does anyone know how long I am blocked for? Is it 24 hours?

Have you tried resetting your password using an authentication code or phone number?

Or do you mean they've actually locked the account so you can't even try to reset it?

They once locked my account for 31 days for suspicions activity, the suspicion activity was me logging in 🙄 it was a nightmare, I sent government ID to prove my identity, reached out via Microsoft support, even tried Twitter. Couldn't do anything, just had to wait the full 31 days.

Hopefully they've changed their policies since then but I highly doubt it. Do you have any alternative email account you can use?
