Depop ok using bank account?

To sell via Depop (UK) you have to give your bank account details to the app, in order to receive payment.

Has anyone had any issues with this? It feels uncomfortable. Even though the account details are held in your settings, and are not given to the buyer.

I've bought and sold things on there and I'm sure it was PayPal every time but it was a while ago so it might have changed, can you not do that now? Is the (UK) bit significant, maybe I used a different one

I wondered if in places other than UK there might be different rules. I can’t see an option other than saving my bank details. The buyer pays Depop and Depop pays into the seller’s account.
