Things to do in London next Wednesday eve with kids?

Off to London next week with my 6 year old, staying overnight. We're meeting friends during the day, but have the evening free (Wednesday). Any ideas what we could do? Did think of seeing a show, but Frozen is not on that evening and we've seen The Lion King. We have until around 5pm onwards to occupy ourselves! Any good evening kids stuff? I don't mind him staying up later as a one-off. We rarely go to london so I want to maximise our time there! Thanks!

Musicals - Mrs Doubtfire, Shrek musical, Back to the Future, wiz of Oz. Areas to explore: Covent Garden, Camden, Southbank. Leicester Square - Lego shop and M&M shop. Outternet at Tottenham Court Road. Sky Garden

I was going to suggest museums, but most start shutting from 5pm onwards. For dinner, Benahani Tapanyaki restaurant have 2/3 branches in London and kids love the spectacle of them cooking- eggs caught in hats, flaming onion tower, catching plates etc. There used to be groupon deals, but I have no idea now.
