Regardless of what party you want to vote for. There are certain IDs that are acceptable and many that are not.

The deadline to apply for a voter registration certificate is June 26th but I would get it earlier as councils might be overwhelmed.

This is new for people who haven't voted in an election since the last General Election - so there will be people who get caught out.

And the message needs to get out there to people who you know who might not have Voter ID.

I’m hoping they will mention this a lot on TV/media as we have terribly low turnout in this country and I can see people saying that they didn’t know they needed ID as a way of excusing why they didn’t vote. (And then complaining that whoever gets in are crap)

I hope they do.

It doesn't need to be political. Just a reminder about Voter ID.

The deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate to vote in the Parliamentary general election on Thursday 4 July is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June.

That's a month away - and people have been caught out by lacking the right Voter ID
