does anyone think he should go to doctors about this? Or is just because he had a big poo?

That looks like a very hard poo.

I'd say DS is constipated?

What's his age? Does he seem in pain? Was there blood on wiping? What are his stools usually like?

It looks like he is dehydrated!! I'd assume a sore bottom from having to push so hard and hence the blood - however I am no doctor! Bit if I'd seen this I may have kept a check but I certainly wouldn't be worrying

In my opinion that is blood ON poo not IN poo. Is that what his poo usually looks like?

I think it's probably due to a big poo - he may have an anal fissure or haemorrhoids - just watch out for pain on pooing. His poo does look a bit pale and 'bitty'. If it stays that way he may be constipated, which won't help with pain. If it is pale and very smelly then maybe that is when to take him to the doctor.
