But really, does your inner voice sound like you? Mine has a Welsh accent for some reason, I even dream in a Welsh accent. But I've never lived in Wales or even been there much. I don't understand why my inner thoughts are Welsh 😅

Mine sings too...definitely an X Factor winner! I couldn't sing as well out loud, say 🤣

Nope! I have actual conversations with my inner voice. They are fully rounded and often argumentative! It's a 'voice' - thoughts are much more random and incomplete.

If I've been watching Peep Show mine sounds like Mark or Jeremy.

Mine has different accents. Sometimes I am a scouser, sometimes quite a rough Scottish woman, sometimes in the summer I am a suave Spanish man, it all depends really. When Im waking in the street or on public transport it ramps up and i get numerous comments going on about people I see or I go one step further and do their voice in my head, generally just a short one liner related to what they think of themselves or what’s on their mind. It is quite tiring but it keeps me company.

Mine is singing Do you like pina coladas? on repeat. Always has a song on the go.

Last week I was imagining I'd invented a medication to stop inner voices from singing. I'd make a million I bet.

LOL yes, we can hear our thoughts in our own head. Not everyone thinks in the same way. Some people can "hear", "see". Others, apparently, just have concepts. I actually wonder how that works....

For me the voice and the continuous soundtrack are two separate things - the soundtrack is always playing in the background!
Now that I've just read the piña colada thing that's started running in my brain now 🤯

Mine constantly sings. Changes accent with my mood. Also brings up my most embarrassing moments on reel just as I'm trying to fall asleep 😂

sometimes its more like a potential flashforward of events other times its more a message that overrides the thoughts eg your telling yourself x but when running over it in your mind its like it switches to a different thought
