I had a long-awaited consultation today to see if I am a suitable candidate for laser eye surgery and excitingly I am (Yay!).
However I have to choose between LASIK and LASEK and I just don't know!
The lovely surgeon said really I could have either procedure, although he'd be marginally inclined to lean towards LASEK for me, but that it was borderline and ultimately my decision.
So now I really don't know what to do. I know the recovery of LASEK can be worse, and takes longer, which is the main thing putting me off a bit to be honest. But equally it would seem LASEK has slightly fewer risks on the whole (based on the reading I'm doing). And, all being well, the recovery will be over and then I'll be able to SEE.
Intrigued to know if anyone has been in a similar position and what did you choose and how did it go? If you had LASEK how was the recovery?
