Where have I forgotten to change my name?

Recently married. Been changing my name promptly as I see too many people at work who drag their feet and have different things registered in different names and it causes them problems. What have I forgotten? I have done:

• doctors
• bank
• mortgage
• land registry
• driving licence
• vehicle logbook
• HMRC
• UK EHIC
• Passport
• Work
• Phone Company
• Energy Company
• Council Tax
• Electoral Roll

Looking at this I can see I have forgotten the dentist and my gym.

Anything glaringly obvious I have missed?

Car / home insurance
House rent
Dc school
Great aunt Mildred 😀

Aa / rac / Green flag

Dentist
Opticians
Car insurance

I have done car insurance and RAC just forgot to add that to the list!

Have updated mortgage company - we don’t rent

Subscriptions like amazon, sky , TV licence
Supermarket if you have shopping delivered
Charity you donate to

I think of more as soon as post this !

i Tired 3 times to update my name with my mortgage but they kept updating a current account I closed 7 years ago instead. So it’s still in my maiden name.

Also land register??? Do we need to update that? I have been married 6 years and first I have heard of it.

@Browsing2023 form AP1 to update the land registry of a change of name…otherwise it can be a PITA when you come to sell and your ID is a different name to the name on the LR. It’s relatively straightforward

@SerenityNowInsanityLater i actually have a new gmail. So many service users at work have a different name to their email address and it drives me insane so I actually reserved myself one under my new name 6 months before we got married!

@ScottBakula i have done sainsburys and nectar! It’s actually crazy how many things you end up needing a new name for!

This is why I haven't changed my name. It fills me with dread to do this much admin.

For your pension company/companies?

Check your bank statement. Anything you pay out of there needs to be changed. Also every time yo log in to anything, online.

I'm trying to work out in which order to do it, if I change bank details then bills may not be paid. Such a pita.

I did the same. Set up an auto forward from the old account to the new one and then you only need to monitor one and won't miss anything.

PayPal? Any loyalty cards / memberships ? (Boots, supermarkets, etc)

Union, Library. PayPal was the thing I couldn't seem to change. I gave up, it's still in my old name 13 years later.
