Wrap Around Care Worker

My twin girls go to wrap around care twice a week, they are 5 years old.

I picked them up last night, no issues whatsoever. A guy is there at the same time picking his two older boys up as well.

It's about a 5 minute walk back to the car, we're nearly there when one of the wrap around care workers comes running after me, literally out of breath from running. She said that there had been an unidentified smell of poo in the hall that they couldn't locate, but when my girls left the smell went so she thought it was them and wanted to let me know 😳 So I did a quick check, asked them and they both said no they hadn't caused the smell.

I checked their shoes, their bags everything, absolutely nothing. There is zero history of them having accidents. But I note that she didn't run after the guy with 2 boys who came out at the same time and accost him.

It was just so bizarre. WTF is all that about? I don't know whether this worker just doesn't like me - absolutely no reason why she shouldn't like me - but the same worker a few months ago when I told them my girls names at pick up she asked if I was their grandma. I probably am one of the slightly older mums but I had my girls when I was 38 so not mega old FFS

Not sure what my question is or whether I should be miffed or just brush it off 😂

For her to go to all that effort and be out of breath after running after you, it sounds as though it came from a good place rather than a bad one.

She didn't say anything to the other parent because she didn't think it was their kids that had an accident.

Sounds like you're overthinking.

I think she was concerned the smell of poo had come from your girls so wanted to let you know.

I think that’s 100 times more likely than her not liking you because you are an older mum!

duly noted! Deffo over thinking

Thank you
