Luckily I'm quite close by the hospital.

But I'm worried they will go to do the procedure and I won't be able to hold it. Shouldn't it all have come away by now?

I ask because I have a booklet talking me through it. And it says about feeling the need to pass wind but 'don't worry because it's just air and the bowel is empty'

But my bowel clearly isn't empty yet.

That solution from last night honestly was the stuff of nightmares. It was rank.

What time did you take the prep and did you definitely drink it all? It should be around 6pm from memory. If you absolutely drank it all, it's usually all through a few hours later.

All you can do is go along and explain.

Don’t worry. The medics will have faced this and know how to do deal with it. It’s nothing you can control. You’ll be fine.

I took the prep at 5. The second dose at 8.30/9. This is exactly like the booklet said

I was in the same position. I even said to the nurse I was worried that during the procedure….liquid would come out. She told me not to worry, that the camera has a little hoover on the end just for this

Don't worry about it, you're not the first or won't be the last, I have issues that the bowel prep doesn't really work on me so I have to take it consistently all week and hope it works, sometimes it doesn't and I have to rearrange but that's just my bowel. Yours has clearly worked and you'll be pretty empty. How did it go?
