Can anyone who's been or who goes tell me relatively how hot it's going to be? Am panicking I will really struggle. It was 38 last year in Lanzarote and the breeze saved it but it was too hot to really walk much.
Is there any resort which is more windy ?!
Average temp on internet searches shows average 36 but I seem to recall years ago when I went that it was hotter. But I'm going back 20 years there.
Mumsnet collective wisdom and experience is what I need here. It is mad to take kids to turkey in August as a red head ?!!

My DD went last year with a mate. It was 38 to 40.

She wasn't keen to go again.

Would be way too hot for me. I went to Turkey a few years ago in October and that was a nice temp.

It was 39 to 40 when we went late august/ early sep….I wouldn’t do it again

We went in June once and it was unbearable. Make sure you have air conditioning.

We went to Turkey in July a few times (near bodrum and marmaris). It was for sailing and windsurfing so we were in the water a lot and in the wind. It was hot and we certainly wouldn't have gone other than for watersports.

If you want to find a windier resort, maybe search for places that do a lot of windsurfing?

I’ve been in April & May - plenty hot enough then to enjoy sunshine and stroll in shade….For me , August would be unbearable in Antalya

Im suspicious of those long range forecasts. It says the part of Spain I'm going to will be upper 20s in July - every year I've been it's upper 30s! I don't think the planet is cooling...

This confirms what I thought. Not for me. I'd love a team of 28-30. Where next to start looking?!

Antalya is very hot and humid in July and August and literally painful to sit outside and sunbathe. I would avoid that if you're like me who is happy between 24-28c.
