Girls are in school identifying as

Today, while discussing my daughter's welfare, the safe guarding officer we have been leasing with at my daughter's school told me that they have had girls coming into school identifying as Cheetahs and wanted kitty litter in the bathrooms.

SHE WASN'T JOKING.

There is seriously bad stuff happening to kids and we need to talk about it.

Cheetahs.

She followed by saying "you have absolutely no idea just how bad it is in school these days, there is much worse than that happening."

Thundercats, ho!

mollyfolk · 23/05/2024 23:11

Cheetahs do not pee in kitty litter and that’s just for starters

SwordToFlamethrower · 23/05/2024 23:13

It is happening, whether you want to believe it or not. I was in a meeting with my dd school today and they mentioned it, as part of a conversation about kids self IDing and gillick competence. She said they have students who identify as various types of cats. I asked her if she was joking and she said she wished she was, it is real and is happening.

I agree it is utter nonsense!

I identified as a horse when I was at school, loads of us did

Except at that point it was called using your imagination and no one was using imaginative play to stir up anti-trans sentiment

LakeTiticaca · 23/05/2024 23:15

Two options here

  1. stop being a dickhead, you aren't a cheetah
  2. a place has been found for you in the big cat enclosure at the local zoo Take your pick 😆
HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 23/05/2024 23:16

There is a trait in some Autistics that do like to dress
And act like as animals Wear tails
Etc
There is a name
For it but I've Forgotten it.

However it's Pretty rare so I'd say if this is true most of these
Kids are trying it on. Maybe
One is genuine

However I have heard
Of this.
It happened
In my
Sons school but
Only
One child.
Does think they asked
For a litter tray
Though

what on earth does gillick competence have to do with being a cheetah ? Are they getting tail transplants? Someone should tell the daily mail.

I am a parent of a year 7 and a year 10. I can absolutely assure you that there are children in the lower half of secondary school (and a couple we know from primary school) that identify as animals. Only one in y10 but a few in the younger years.
Tails and ears are worn in school and acting like cats in break ok all 4’s and licking their arms etc. One regularly wears her tail and ears walking around the estate daily
I wish I was joking but I’m not.
Kitty litters are not happening though thankfully.

Kids dressing up as animals yes, it's hardly a new phenomenon

Cat litter in the bathroom is totally fake news posted on multiple occasions by a poster who always "knows someone who knows" but has never actually seen it themselves

Infracat · 23/05/2024 23:20

This is 100% happening. Its happening at my sons school. Girl identifying as a cat with a tail on all 4's at break purring and meowing. Big crowd of kids surrounding her laughing and pointing.

BunnyNumNum · 23/05/2024 23:21

Parent of a year 9 child here. There has been a bunch of ‘furries’ in her form since year 7. Her big sister had some ‘wolves’ in her year. It is happening.

Do they demand Wolfe litter?

Disagree- This is a new phenomenon. We are not talking about under 10’s dressing up. It’s older kids of 12+ being allowed to wear ears and tails around secondary school and acting like a cat / dog miowing or barking and licking themselves and even others.
If you haven’t heard of it or don’t believe me, you don’t have experience of secondary schools in 2024. This craze has only really come about in the past year or two. Wasn’t heard of before then.

WandsOut · 23/05/2024 23:35

Furries inclusion has been happening for a while www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/animals-and-us/201707/what-s-the-deal-furries

Maybe it's an extension of that.

See also Therians. Too much internet for these kids.

Just extra large bonios.

noblegiraffe · 23/05/2024 23:45

Kids pretending to be animals - sure, it's a fashion.

Schools providing said kids with kitty litter to go to the toilet in - utter bollocks.

Waitingfordoggo · 23/05/2024 23:51

Yes there are quite a lot of kids (often autistic) identifying as furries and therians. A friend has a young teen child who has ‘come out’ as a furry. As I understand it, lots of these kids enjoy making their own masks and costumes. It all sounds very creative and lovely and the sort of thing that children have always done, but now it is not just play but an ‘identity’ for kids who have probably spent too much time on the internet.

The litter tray thing is surely just an urban myth though.

SwordToFlamethrower · 23/05/2024 23:55

It is 100% true, the girls demanded kitty litter, the school obviously didn't comply with that.

Safe guarding officer I spoke with said this was her personal experience, happening in school and is just one of many "utterly insane" occurances routinely coming up.

I wonder what other utterly insane things she was referring to?

SwordToFlamethrower · 23/05/2024 23:58

I despair at it all. It isn't fun or cute, it's disturbing.

The litter tray is the adult male fetish. Furries who engage in sex acts and pup play are out in force at Pride.

Doubt any litter trays are in the schools but a quick search on Reddit will find several cesspit litter tray connoisseurs.

The urban myth mixing kids dressing up and getting legitimised by furries with a (male fetish remember) litter box is a thing that gender ideologists can use as a misdirect by stating it's a hoax. Because it's too stupid to believe it once you add the litter-box.

But telling kids they can be born in the wrong bodies is entirely sensible right? Not ridiculous at all?

So people can say "it's a culture war hoax" and then dismiss the equally ridiculous nonsense spewed by gender ideologists. So all it takes to condone one ridiculous idea is adding a litter-box to the other.

However the litterbox does not mean that something more serious and horrifying is happening in schools right now because of the concept of self ID.

WandsOut · 24/05/2024 00:18

*isn't happening that was meant to say.

Having to linguistically undo the shitshow that self ID has created fucks my typing fingers.
