I had one of these a few weeks ago and received treatment including a 10 day course of penicillin.
At the time, my voice really changed (reminded me of 'Covid voice').
A month or so on and there are no signs of the abscess, however my voice still hasn't returned to normal (though it is improved); I still have the feeling of needing to clear my throat from catarrh and I feel washed out and lacking in energy.
Is this normal? I don't know whether to consult the doctor or just see what happens over the next few weeks.
