Paranoid about bird flu

I have terrible anxiety and this has really triggered me. I rescued what I think is a fledgling blackbird yesterday - I know you're meant to leave them where they are but I couldn't, neighbour was having their front garden dug up so there were machines everywhere and three cats trying to get at it. I moved it to my own back garden which is cat proofed (I have my own cats but I kept them inside). I picked it up with my hand inside a plastic bag and put it in a box. I washed my hands very thoroughly. But then I went back out and tipped the box on its side without gloves on. Again washed hands very thoroughly. But I am now freaking out I could have got bird flu. I'm in a complete panic about this.

You will be fine.

If it makes you feel better I touched quite a lot of garden birds this morning as part of a wildlife survey/ecology work and bird flu didn’t even cross my mind. Similarly, it is extremely unlikely the bird you moved had bird flu as it would’ve been immediately obvious something more was wrong with it.

It was pooping a lot but looked like normal bird poop and was otherwise chirping and hopping about.
