Is this an Amazon scam?

I have had a few messages from Amazon over the last few weeks saying that someone who knows my password has been attempting to log on from the USA, and a code is sent through to my phone.

I don't click anything but it says action needed. I get a message from the amazon app, and a code sent through to my phone

Anyone else experience this?

I haven’t experienced that - but would probably change my password just incase.

Could be. Log onto your Amazon account as you normally would and see if there's any alerts on there. And contact Amazon through their normal channels to ask.

You could always log on the way you normally do and change your password to, to be safe.

But you're definitely right not to click on anything in the messages you've been sent.

Just looked at my emails and I have not received any from amazon to say someone has been trying to log on- just through the app.

I suspect it is a phishing scam then
