Flying tomorrow and have some nice grapes that I thought might be nice on the flight. However I'd forgotten I've only travelled in Europe recently where there are no restrictions.
a quick google shows I cannot take them into Mexico but.. can I take them on the plane as long as we have eaten them by the time we get there ? We are flying with Tui and they are still in the unopened lidl packaging (free on the fruity spins today). I also have a bar of lovely Italian chocolate I'd been saving for a special occasion which this is - first family holiday since 2018

sorry for such a mind numbingly trivial query. But if I can't I'd rather leave them here for MIL to enjoy when she feeds the cat than risk having them confiscated at LGW

As long as you eat them before you land I can’t see the issue tbh!

Yes just eat them before you land, shouldn’t be a problem at all

The only issue you might have is if the chocolate bar has nuts in it and there happens to be an announcement that it a no nut flight. But they are pretty rare in my experience

Yes grapes will be fine to take with you to eat on the flight

Took grapes on a flight to Mexico, son didn't eat them. Threw them away whilst waiting for our bags. Didn't realise we couldn't have them but saw a sign, there were a few of them.

You could have it in the airport?

I’m pretty sure you could take the chocolate into Mexico if needed, especially if it’s sealed still
