chocolate bar has disappeared

I bought an orange aero in the garage shop.

As I got out of the car to walk into my house, I put it in my cardigan pocket.

I walked into the kitchen and dumped my stuff on the table, then went upstairs to find my slippers and eat my chocolate.

Sat on my bed.

No chocolate bar in my pocket.

No chocolate bar on the bed.

No chocolate bar on the kitchen table, or the path outside, or in the car.

I am feeling very disgruntled. Help! Where can it possibly have got to??

I’m wondering if it fell on the drive and a passer-by has picked it up and eaten it?!

I’m sad and hangry (specifically for chocolate, a piece of toast just won’t cut it). I don’t want to go back to the garage shop for another one or they will think I’m really greedy! It was quite a big bar…

It’s understandable to not want to walk back to the garage shop but I wouldn’t worry about them thinking you are greedy, they probably won’t remember you went in before and if they do, they won’t give it any thought.

Is it under a bush next to your front door?
Could a passerby have stolen it if they seen it fall out of your pocket?

Under the bed? Fallen down the side of the bed by your bedside cabinet?

Fallen out of your pocket down the side of the car seat?
I know you checked the car but down the sides of the seat is usually dark and it could have slipped under the seat.

I’ve checked the car seat and also the side of the bed! I’m going with the chocolate-snaffling neighbour theory.

I am going to replenish my supply, but going to a different shop! The garage will definitely recognise me, it’s a little village garage and they know everyone (and are right gossips!!)

I bet you anything, the moment I buy a new bar, the old one will magically materialise in a place I have already checked 3 times!!

Did you have a handbag? Could it be in there?

I found a ( Cadbury whole nut ) chocolate bar on the street yesterday 😁.

In your shoes? Assuming you took them off and put your slippers on.

It's a very real possibility that I myself have eaten it. I may be in Scotland, possibly hundreds of miles from where you are but I wouldn't put it past me tbh

the only way is to go through everything on the way.
Could you put it on a shelf in the corridor or into the fridge?
We have shelf for shoes and it’s usually a popular places for cards, phones and small lonely purchases. Fridge is another popular hiding place.

It has not rematerialised. I am starting to doubt my own sanity tbh, I have looked everywhere, and there really aren’t that many places where it could be.

I nipped to Tesco express last night and bought a toblerone to make myself feel better about it. But I do still feel wistful, I’ve never tried an orange aero before!

Right under car seat

Once went shopping with dd's in the huge double pram. Making Sunday dinner I was missing a cauliflower.. Retraced my steps and found it under a bush! Must have fallen out the pram basket. Left it there incase a ddog has peed on it!! Was gutted.

I did this the other day! Went into the vets to pick up some medication for my mums dog.

Somehow managed to pay for it, take the receipt and leave the bloody meds on the counter! I was going wild digging through my car and handbag and didn't realise until the vets called to explain!

Could you have left it behind after paying?

I read the oddest article about jaffa cakes yesterday. And not the cake /biscuit debate..
Apparently the chocolate is the bottom.
