No leaving card! Bit sad and disappointed

Finished work today. Mainly due to my manager . Ive had other threads about her.
I have a new job to go which I've very excited about but I've had no leaving card from work. I'm a bit sad. I've worked really hard for the company for a few years and nothing. Not even a good bye from my team. Its a bit pants!

That is pants.

Have a virtual card from me - good luck in your new role and all the arseholes in your last one will miss you! 😊

changeison · 22/05/2024 18:17

sounds like you're well rid of a toxic work culture, fuck em!

CountingCrones · 22/05/2024 18:18

Congratulations on your new job! I hope it's brilliant and you thrive.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/05/2024 18:20

Of course that feels crap, I’m sorry. I haven’t seen your other threads but huge congrats on your new job! When do you start?

LlynTegid · 22/05/2024 18:20

Enjoy your new job.

rubyslippers · 22/05/2024 18:24

That’s really rubbish
sounds like you’ve made a good decision to leave
when do you start your new role?

CMOTDibbler · 22/05/2024 18:26

That is really hurtful of them, but it shows that you made the right decision to leave

Stressedgiraffe · 22/05/2024 18:28

I start next week so have a few days off which is nice.

All the best in your new adventures xxx

GameOfJones · 22/05/2024 18:32

That's dreadful of them. It definitely shows you are better off out of there!

RobinEllacotStrike · 22/05/2024 20:36

Clearly you are well shot of them. What a miserable bunch. Nevertheless it's a sad end to your years there and I would be hurt too. Best of luck in your new job!!

TopBun · 22/05/2024 20:37

That is rubbish, and demonstrates that you were right to leave.

Please accept this as a card from me, and have these lovely flowers too. 💐

Treacletreacle · 22/05/2024 20:44

All the best in your new job. I was made redundant at 7 months pregnant due to an underhand restructure. I did okay out of it because they had to pay me my maternity package as well but i felt well and truly thrown under the bus by my line manger. People who i thought were good friends didn't contact me. I did feel a little smug when afew months later they did the same thing to them as well. Its sad when work colleagues who you thought you had a friendship with behave like that.
Onwards and upwards. Hold your head high and move on. Xx

bumblebee1000 · 22/05/2024 20:46

not nice but you are out of the place, last place i was teaching at, before i retired early, never arranged anything as majority of staff went off sick and never came back as sued or took them to tribunal etc !..The collection for a nasty vile bully manager was full of old foreign coins so maybe they stopped doing anything after that

Katherineryan1986 · 22/05/2024 20:48

I’m sorry they didn’t make any effort, that’s really rude.

Good luck to you in your new job and here’s some 🍫 and 💐

Paperweight7 · 22/05/2024 21:00

Well done for making the decision to leave that place. Hopefully your new job will bring you better colleagues.

zippitydoda · 22/05/2024 21:43

My husband retired after 28 years, didn't even get a card. Over the 28 years he was giving £10/20 to collections for leavers.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 22/05/2024 21:48

That’s not good but hopefully your new job will be great. I think sometimes it is just due to everyone thinking someone else will take care of it rather than any malice. Enjoy your days off!
