A spider bit me!

I watched the beastie do it. Now I have a red ring on my arm where it sunk its fangs in me. Did anyone else not know that spiders can bite? I feel vindicated for hating them all my life!

All spiders can bite, most of them just aren’t large enough for their fangs to do very much as they can’t get through the skin.
Why was it even on you? I’d have flung it straight off (whist pathetically shrieking) the moment I spotted it. You are very brave for it to be on you long enough for you to watch it bite.
Thats quite a mark, how big was the beastie?

Nope, I've always known spiders are capable. Think there's 12 species in UK that are capable of breaking skin. Will only cause irritation.

Just be thankful it wasn't an adder 😂

i got bit on the knuckle whilst driving by a very tiny spider. There must of been a batch of them as someone else got bit in lidl whilst using a trolley.

It did very quickly spread and I had a red line going up to my elbow so I had to have antibitotics and a special cream from the doctor so do keep an eye on it.

You know you’ll have super powers now right?!

I got bitten by one once, and developed quite an infection from it. Cellulitis, and I needed antibiotics.

I once got bitten on my finger and had to get the nail removed to clear the infection. Its never grown back properly.

Being completely terrified of spiders I've always known the little fuckers were evil and would bite with no provocation. Hasn't happened to me yet, touch wood it never does, but hope you're ok 😊

Gettingbysomehow · 22/05/2024 16:27

Those bastard things.....a spider bite can cause a big red itchy lump that can last for 6 months, and get infected.

TwattyMcFuckFace · 22/05/2024 16:28

Yes, I got bitten on the ankle by a house spider years ago and my mum got bitten on her back, when she climbed into bed one night 🕷🕸

They rarely bite humans without provocation, because we're not their food.

Usually only to protect themselves.

I stick by my original statement 🤣🤣🤣
