Where can I buy a raincoat for a six yo TODAY

Can't believe I'm having to post about this but...

I need a raincoat for DS. I'd prefer one with a bit more structure than a single layer plastic bag type, but not too thick as it's to wear now.

I've looked in Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco, Primark, M&S, H&M, Next.

I don't really want to (nor think I should need to but may be wrong!) spend more than £20/£25.

I looked a few weeks ago and couldn't find one, now he needs it tomorrow for a school trip so Vinted/Amazon etc. not an option.

Help! Please.

Go Out Doors , Millets any of the outdoor hiking, camping shops will have them.

Bankholidayboredom23 · 22/05/2024 06:29

I was going to say an outdoors shop. Or maybe sports direct but they sell more the waterproof in a bag type thing (cheap tho)

Mountain warehouse?

IDoLikeToBeByTheSea · 22/05/2024 06:32

Have you tried local Facebook selling groups?

TomeTome · 22/05/2024 06:35

Go outdoors or any camping/outdoor sports type shop. I’d go for a thin and flimsy myself. Cheaper and more comfortable in the heat.

Iudncuewbccgrcb · 22/05/2024 06:36

I know you say you looked in sainsburys but I picked one up off the sale rail 2 days ago in there. There were loads of out of season coats etc....

Otherwise your best bet is an outdoor or sports shop I think. It's festival season round the corner so surely they will have some cheap lightweight ones.

Mumof1andacat · 22/05/2024 06:37

Mountain warehouse, go outdoors or decathlon

Blueuggboots · 22/05/2024 06:38

Trespass, Cotswold, go outdoors, garden centres.

GigiAnnna · 22/05/2024 06:38

Edited to say I see you've already tried Primark.

Gliblet · 22/05/2024 06:47

Obviously depends what you've got locally, but:

Decathlon
Mountain warehouse
Go outdoors
Blacks
TK Maxx
JD Sport

SBGHJ · 22/05/2024 06:49

Our garden centres always have a few.

Randomsabreur · 22/05/2024 06:49

Sports direct might have but Decathlon has been my best bet if you have one locally

Heatherbell1978 · 22/05/2024 06:56

I'd go to Decathlon or the likes of Trespass or Mountain Warehouse

Willmafrockfit · 22/05/2024 06:57

Millets

liveforsummer · 22/05/2024 07:15

Do you have a trespass near by? They are usually still kicking about on otherwise deserted high streets

Singleandproud · 22/05/2024 07:20

Mountain warehouse 3 in 1 rain coats cost between £20-£30 for children

Dontjudgeme101 · 22/05/2024 07:22

Tkmax ?

piefacedClique · 22/05/2024 07:24

Joules?

Bearpawk · 22/05/2024 07:24

Anywhere near one of those big garden centres ?

swapcicles · 22/05/2024 07:31

Trespass or regatta outlets in garden centres, Winfields is good but not many of them about.

mitogoshi · 22/05/2024 07:38

Mountain warehouse, millets, blacks, go outdoors, independent outdoorsy shop or the services on the motorway (ok not everyone has one down the road on the road about but they have some great deals!)
