28 weeks pregnant and broken

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and I feel absolutely dreadful. Before anyone suggests anaemia I've just been tested and all my bloods are fine - the only thing wrong with me is gestational diabetes which at the moment is diet controlled.

I'm 35 and my older DD is 9 (same Dad, same sex baby). This pregnancy has been in another league altogether than hers. EVERYTHING makes me feel shattered and I'm walking at the pace of an elderly snail. Doing the school run twice a day (15 mins there, 15 mins back) is half killing me. With GD you're meant to walk for "just" 20-30 mins after eating but I'm seriously struggling with this. I go swimming once a week which I enjoy but when I get back I'm so exhausted I immediately go for a nap. I WFH, self employed, and was planning to go on mat leave on 1 July but I seriously don't even know if I can make it that far. I'm just so tired, so breathless and everything hurts.

I just didn't want to read and run so I hope you're ok OP. It's like torture those last few weeks and I felt no one warned me about it 😅I had hyperemesis too so that didn't help but it does pass, I promise.

You have to take it hour by hour as the days feel so long. Are you able to sleep? I'd recommend a nice cooling pregnancy pillow, can also be used for a lie down when you need to rest. Don't be worrying if you need your doctor to write you off from work until the birth. Nothing to feel guilty about at all!
