Best stuff for a dry, tickly cough. I NEED sleep!

Currently got Covid and the most annoying dry, tickly cough. I've been up for 3 nights now, I've had honey tea, soluble codeine and nothing seems to be helping that much (though the codeine usually gives me a couple of hours of kip).

What are the best over the counter remedies that you know of? About to drag myself off to the pharmacy and ask for something to stop me coughing!

Vicks on the soles of your feet, covered by clean socks. It works honestly!

I have Robitussin the best OTC cough medicine.

Night Nurse (not the pharmacy own brand) liquid.

When you've taken all the cough medicine you can - and have to wait to take more, I recommend one or two teaspoons of honey, it lubricates my throat a bit.

I've just been out and bought everything you've all recommended - Robitussin, Vicks and Night Nurse. Can't take Night Nurse till tonight as I took codeine/paracetamol about an hour ago but I'm laid here on my sofa of doom with a cup of tea, some cough medicine and Vicksy socks. 😂

If I get some sleep, I think I'll feel miles better.

Vodka. Garlge it, swallow it, then sleep. Take some strong vitamin D tablets as well.
