Tips for Hay Festival please!

Hi,

I am very excited to be taking my 2 DD (12 and 9) to Hay Festival for 3 nights in half term.
We are staying in the tangerine fields campsite with our own tent.
I have booked one thing per day that is focused on the girls and have my eye on a few other bits.
Does anyone have advice or tips?
My 9 year old loves books, camping and food! But finds new situations challenging so any good tips etc would be welcome!
Is there anything useful I could put together in a pack for the girls?

Get in the queue for your events super early - we saw Michael Rosen last year and managed to get fairly near the front of the queue so secured good seats. It's a bit of a free for all. He did a book signing after which we waited forever in a very long line but he was amazing and I have a video of my very stunned 6 year old listening to him recite a poem just for him
