Is center parcs ok to go to without kids?

I've never been before, my partner and I are looking for a staycation and I was wondering if center parcs is more tailored to families/kids?

Has anyone been before with out children and what did your days look like!

Thank you!

There’s no way I’d go to centre parcs without kids. Would much rather a lodge or cottage in a nice area. The restaurants are fine but nothing special. Having said that, I did enjoy it with the kids.

It’s fine in an adult group but not just as a couple.

I mean there are adult only hotels with spas and pools in the countryside with woodland walks I’m sure. I bet the food choices are a damn sight better as well.

I know a couple in their 50s who go and stay in lots of lovely places with spas and nice walks. I think you could get something nicer for your money which would feel much more luxuriant for the money.

Also I went once and I loathed it so I’m probably biased.

I've done that and did not like it.

More expensive (believe it or not) and frankly just not a chill.

Upshot is each to their own.

I'm going again (alone) in June and know I'll have a great time Smile.

I definitely wouldn't go just me and DHand I adore CP.

However I do go with friends sometimes and it's brilliant

We used to go every year just the 2 of us (pre-kids), we were in our late teens and early 20s though, so acted like children down the rapids and had the best time!

We went pre-children and had a great time. We went term time during the week at the beginning of March one year. It was mostly adults there, a few pre-schoolers.
It depends what you like doing really. We spent a lot of time in the pool and we went cycling and walking and reading our books in the forest.
If you want a big night out it's definitely not the holiday for you, but for a chilled few nights away I thought it was great.

I have been as part of a couple with another couple.

Didn't feel weird not having kids.

We did pottery painting, badminton, breakfast out, walks, swimming. Was lovely relaxing break.

I loved it when the kids were little because everything was set up for families - but I wouldn’t dream of going without children.

My Mum and Dad go regularly and I have joined them both pre and post having DC.

It suits my Dad well these days as he has mobility issues and dementia and it's traffic free, safe, contained and familiar. He likes to do the pottery painting and made a bird house last time. He can also use the spa. I see a lot of young adults in groups with friends, barrelling down the rapids and bombing down the slides.

I don't think it's weird at all.

We went on our own last year. Great swimming, nice food, full spa day, did a few of the activities and took some board games. We needed an escape from reality and we got it and enjoyed it.

We want to try a couple of the others, we have a 8 week old now so even though we will be going. Again, it’ll be with a baby for a few years who can’t do anything anyway 😂
