Just noticed a ginormous Varicose Vein! What can I do about it?!

I know google is my Friend BUT interested to hear from others..
For the first time today, I've noticed a huge varicose vein running down the inside of my knee from up my thigh, this thing is huge, so lumpy and noticeable.
It hasn't given me any issues but shallow as it sounds, I want to get rid of it ASAP as it looks horrid and my legs are pretty good otherwise Has anyone had a procedure done? Are there any natural remedies?

I had mine removed privately. It's keyhole surgery so easy and the recovery is ok. If they dont hurt then you can it's not a medical issue (mine were incredibly painful and i couldnt stand for long).
