(not an ad!!)

We've recently signed up to simply cook boxes as a Saturday night fakeaway to try to save some money and jazz up the weekly routine!

What are your favourites if you get the boxes? Looking for more ideas! So far we like the makhani chicken and the jambalaya.

We've got Thai green curry, bang bang noodles, chilli and pad Thai coming soon.

Bibimbap
Balinese curry
Bang bang chicken
The pork mince one that I can't remember the name of!
Louisiana pasta

We’re fairly new to Simply Cook and love the recipes. Not sure we’ve had a bad one yet.

The Brazilian fish dish mentioned above - really nice

chicken makhani - my sons favourite

penne pasta - my other son made this. Ate half straight away, and used the other half for his pack lunch.

How often do you get them? We've gone for the once a month option at the moment

The curries are great as you can easily make them serve 4 portions so more bang for your buck

I go once an month and delay them as required. The gyros are nice too but fiddly

I’ve paused my membership as had a build up of boxes. What I like about Simply Cook is that, because you only get spices etc, the shelf life of the boxes are longer than the other boxes food delivery services.

( and cheaper).

The Vietnamese pork is our all time favourite, I use stir fry pork and add mushrooms as well as the pak choi. The nonya curry is also delicious as is the courgette pasta. And the risotto!

Hi I love the tofu in black bean sauce, the new rice bowls (forget name) chipotle cauliflower salad, as pp never had a bad meal yet & they can often be bulked out to make 4 instead of 2 - enjoy!!

The Nasi Goreng one is lovely

Dan Dan noodles.
Cajun chicken (it might be leaving soon!)
Bibimbap
Crispy chilli beef
Vietnamese pork

I tend not to go for the curries, not because they're not delicious, but because I have the Spicery curry legends book and spice blends which make the same sorts of things.

I would say if it's a concern for you, there are loads of recipes that can be made vegetarian even if they are "meat" recipes, but also there are boxes that contain meat stock even if they look like they could easily be adapted so check the ingredients list!
