Woke at 5am.

Havent been able to get back to sleep. Have to be up in an hour now and am already tired for the day.
Can't have a nap as am babysitting a 1 year old today.
Why do I keep doing this.
😭

I'm very much the same. I've been waking early for months. My way to sometimes get back to sleep if it's pre 5am is to put an audio book on and resist my phone.

5.30-6am is normal get up time for me all year, even at weekends. The joys of a farm!

Mine was 2/3 am recently the joys of peri menopause.

Normally I get up for work before 6 am so i think i’m naturally tuned into that time on days off unfortunately!

Yes! It’s so annoying. In the week I’m normally asleep by 9.30 so it’s not too bad but at the weekends it’s so annoying. At the moment I feel like 5.30 is a lie in 🙈

5-6am is hardly ridiculous, I suspect it's perfectly normal for many, especially those with a young family.

Well when everyone else in the house sleeps in till 11am on a weekend 5am feels ridiculous.

I don't even have to wake up till 7am on a weekday.

Perfectly normal time

This was me. For several years. I'm 43. I recently started HRT. Unexpectedly I now sleep beautifully until 7ish and later. I had no idea perimenopause had trashed my sleep!! I've also had numerous other issues/ symptoms miraculously vanish since starting HRT, again, which I'd not associated as peri! I only really noticed the hot flushes and occasional night sweats, because generally, those are largely all we know about!!

Am an early bird anyway, so any time between 5am and 6am is normal. I quite like the quiet time before the rest of the world gets up.

I do go to bed very early mind you to offset the exhaustion!
