Hope someone can help me here…
so me and ex shared our 4 children 50/50 for a few years, he claimed the child benefit . They are now with me full time and have been for months, court ordered if that makes any difference. I rang, got sent a form and sent it back over a month ago. I’m still not being paid the child benefit. It’s for 4 kids so not like it’s a tiny amount. Is it normal for it to take so long? I’ll ring tomorrow morning and find out but I’ve woken this morning with anxiety, checked hmrc app which has a section for forms that have been received.. and it’s not on there. It’s a lot of money as I’ve had them full time since beginning of the year! I didn’t change it before because we were still In court, and also then needed to order new birth certificates to apply as ex wouldn’t let me have them. Any help? Thanks
