From a tram park and ride car park. I had some items in the car, and on telling my partner on the phone what happened he immediately went on and on at me because I had things in the car and it's all my own fault.

Victim blaming extraordinaire. I hate him.

He doesn't actually think that the thieves choose your car because of the extra value of charity bags does he?

Is it in anyway his car or have any impact on him?

OP, your partner is ignorant. Car theft is absolutely rife at the moment. you are NOT to blame.

They did break the window but then robbed the car! It's a 13 year old Fiat 500. Apparently there's a gang of local car thieves close by the park and ride.

Relationship looks like it's going to be over due to victim blaming and total lack of support. He hasn't taxed his own car so he's no help at all.

Interestingly, both my sister's and her neighbour's cars were both Fiat 500s. There must be a great market for them somewhere 😔

Police have found it abandoned three miles away with false plates. The thieves are so stupid they put 24 plates on so it stuck out like a sore thumb!

That's good that they found it. The police don't even consider looking for stolen cars round here. They give a crime number and suggest you get a friend to drive you round. The local next door group members tend to try to be helpful though.

Good luck with south yorkshire police - my car was used in a ram raid on a post office and they did nothing,

Thanks, it's been found and I spoke to the CCTV provider this morning who's saving the footage for the police. Good old fashioned coppering found it.
