Duvet covers - naice ones

Where do people buy really nice, hotel quality (you know where you get into bed and the sheets are just lush) duvet covers?

We haven't had new covers for many many years so want to get something really good but don't want to spend the money if it isn't perfect.

I was looking at the White Company although DH thinks this will be boring and wants a pattern (so maybe not the hotel chic I was thinking of!). Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Holsper? I've bought a few from them and they're lovely.

MrsSamR · 18/05/2024 11:40

Joules do nice patterned ones. Have a look on Bedeck online.

I got a lovely one from good old M&S. Dunelm has a great range and their fitted sheets are fab and are available in different depths.

I like linen bedding from places like Piglet in Bed and The Secret Linen Store, but it is so expensive I restrict myself to one thing a year. La Redoute have slighter cheaper linen that looks good, too. Having said that I also have really nice, high thread count cotton sateen pillow cases and duvet covers from Primark.

The 500 thread count sateen duvet covers from Zara home are really good.

I bought a Laura Ashley one on Brand Alley

I think LA ones are always great or John Lewis

I've always wondered about piglets in bed because it looks good but I see influencers offering bundle codes and it puts me off!

The White Company

RookieMa · 18/05/2024 17:59

My DM has lovely sheets and Duvet covers which are from JL but she irons everything whereas I don't and I think that's why hers always feel so much nicer

Cuppachuchu · 18/05/2024 18:15

Bedeck or Dorma are my favourites.
I also have some M&S which are 15+ years old and still like new.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 18/05/2024 18:19

TK Maxx have great duvet covers. I pay about £50 for their high quality covers.

JoJothegerbil · 18/05/2024 18:22

Soak and Sleep or The White Company.

Ginkypig · 18/05/2024 18:52

My favourite sets were the 100% cotton ones in the sales at different times from

la Redoute
joe browns

one thing to note though both felt quite crisp when new but as time has gone on and repeated washing they have softened into lovely sets.

Lokshen · 18/05/2024 18:57

Soak and sleep, Sanderson, dorma, Bedeck (slightly cheaper). I also like Kin for more fun prints

BCBird · 18/05/2024 18:58

I like Dorma from Dunelm Mill

The White Company have gone downhill - if you want that look then try Cologne and Cotton I recently bought this one and the cotton is lovely and feels satiny on your skin https://www.cologneandcotton.com/soft-green-fleur-cotton-bed-linen

If you want hotel bedding then its probably worth buying from a hotel stockist - Mitre Linen were good enought for the late Queen and are considerably cheaper https://www.mitrelinen.co.uk/luxury-savoy-duvet-covers/p_gu116

Soft Green Fleur

You anywhere near a Boundary Outlet? Fantastic choice - Christie, Bedeck, Sanderson, V&A among others, at bargain prices.

Leavingonapetjlane · 18/05/2024 22:30

Soak and Sleep 600 thread Egyptian cotton - when they have a sale on (which they have frequently!)
