DD 17 is in year 12 and starting to put some prep into university’s.
She is in a very creative stream (music, Art and Performing arts) I have no doubt she will do very well in all 3 as she did at GCSES and she is also running LAMDA, and outside piano and performing art classes alongside so I’m not doubting her dedication at all and we have always known (and encouraged) that she would go for a creative arts uni/career path however the problem is she is not considering anything other than BIMMS, she doesn’t even want to go and see anywhere else.
DH signed into their virtual open evening the other day and was impressed but I have heard so many mixed reviews of the teaching and results that I’d really like her to consider other options at least to see what else is out there.
We are south west based and do like the distance between Bristol and us (enough for DD to feel like she independent but can be home in under an hour and half on the train) but wondered if I could ask you own experiences of music based universities or courses and advice on how I can rationalises that it’s sensible to consider other options.
