Compressed hours/holiday query

I work compressed hours by doing 10 days in nine (so I work 8 hrs 15 mins a day for the nine days I work). Every other Friday is my designated day off.

I want to book five days off in half term. I’ve checked, and the week I want off is my full week, not the week I work four days. Would it work for me to book four days as AL, and take the Friday of the week I want off as my day off in lieu and then work the full five days the week after? So effectively swapping my Friday off in that fortnight for the opposite one?

My work is very flexible and there would be no problem or inconvenience to anyone else by me doing this (in fact it would actually be better for me to be off in school holidays than term time) so that’s not a problem. I just wanted to check this would be an acceptable thing to do before I run it by my boss, it’s not fiddling hours or anything?

Not fiddling it at all - just swapping one day off for another. I have a similar arrangement and do the same occasionally- sometimes for my benefit, sometimes for the company's . No effect on annual leave at all :-)
